Welcome back to The Femme Cast. This is part 2 of our 5-part series called Moving Through the Storms, Upheavals and Massive Change, where I’m sharing the exact spiritual tools I use to navigate uncertainty, fear, and life’s biggest challenges with grace and personal power. Divorce, heartbreak, loss of a home, loss of a job, living on overdraft for what felt like an eternity. These were the tools that helped me through all of it.

Hey guys, what is up and welcome back to the show. I'm so excited and grateful to have you here. This is the five-part miniseries Moving Through the Storm how to Navigate Difficult Emotions, uncertainty, change in Life and in Love. You guys, when life feels overwhelming whether it's from personal struggles, relationship challenges or just the simple chaos of the world, which, guys, I've so been feeling it is easy to get stuck in fear and doubt. But in this five-part mini-series, I'm going to share with you the exact process that I use to move through times of massive change, transformation and upheaval and uncertainty, with trust and grace and, you know, staying intact with my and and and aware of my personal power in these situations. Okay, so, from emotional, energetic, surrender, mindset, all that stuff, we're going to cover all of it. MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Today is part two. So we're talking all about the power of surrender and letting go of what you can't control and reclaiming your peace. This is such an important piece, you guys, because the reality is, life happens, shit hits the fan, and I'm really sick and tired of people who say, well, you know you, it's a reflection of you know what's going on inside of you, so we know whatever's happening in the world around you, something that's happened. Well, you know, yeah, I get it. I get it because, energetically, we are a vibrational match for our reality. You know, yeah, I get it. I get it Because, energetically, we are a vibrational match for our reality. But also and this is just a whole other perspective, okay, and we're going to talk about this more, I think, in part three tomorrow Our soul is here to have an evolution.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Our soul is here to learn something. There are certain lessons that we came into this lifetime to learn to evolve through. So what if what you're going through right now isn't actually something that's bad or something that you manifested because you were in, like you know low vibe energy. What if it's actually that you're something that your soul actually chose to say, hey, I want to move through this. It's like picking your. Your soul actually chose to say, hey, I want to move through this. It's like picking your classes when you get to university I want to take psychology 101. I want to take political science. I want to major in women's studies. Maybe there's something that your soul came here wanting to evolve through and move through.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:And usually these bigger moments in our life, they're not necessarily manifestations. Usually what they are is they're moments that we, as a soul, incarnated here to move through. So we're going to hold that one for tomorrow. Just put a pin in that for me, okay, please, and we'll talk about it. But for today, we're going to talk about and sorry, I'm totally scratching my finger right now. You can probably hear that because my mic picks up everything Okay, yeah, I've had really dry skin lately because I'm probably dehydrated because I've been so stressed out. Self-care Need to put that back on top of the list.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Okay, so, letting go of what you can control while reclaiming your peace. So, and I do this work with you know, if you've worked with me one-on-one, we've done this exercise right. We put things in buckets right, what we can deal with and what we can't Like. This is one of the first things that we're going to cover off on. But we but we do it. We do it differently, we do with a visualization. So we'll briefly get into it now.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Obviously, it's more complex, you know, when we do this together. But to give you the short version of it so that we can, you know, you guys can take this away and kind of practice it on your own, I want you to, and it's not as simple as how do I put this? Yes, it's important to determine what you have and don't have control over, but it's also important where you should be taking action and where you should just be letting things be. You know, because just because you have a control over a situation doesn't mean you should be controlling it. Does that make sense? Let me know if that makes sense, but anyway.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:So the first thing you're going to do is you're going to visualize number one what you don't have control over. What's going on in the world, honey, you don't have control over the way he's showing up in the relationship. You know, maybe he's not showing up the way you really want him to. You don't have control over that. Whether or not he's emotionally available or ready to be in a committed relationship. You have no control over that either. You may think you do, but you don't.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:So many things that we have no control over, and you know, oftentimes you know people's behavior, world events, um, um, even like crazy things. I mean, you know, one of my coaches always said this to me and it was always so triggering, but it's true. Like you don't even have control over somebody. If somebody's going to give you your paycheck at the end of the week, yeah, you count on somebody giving you a paycheck at the end of the week, but you know that company you know could go bankrupt tomorrow. I've had this happen where I showed up to work one day and there was a bankruptcy notice on the door. That's like, okay, I guess I'm out of a job. Then, like we don't know what's going to happen. You know we just don't from one day to the next.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:All we have control over is what we're feeling, how we're processing what we're feeling and how we're moving through our experience and the decisions and the choices and the actions that we're taking. That's what we have control over, so let's focus on that. So anything that we don't have control over. I want you to make a list of all the things that you're wasting your energy thinking about that you have no control over World events. How they talked to me at the cocktail party last week. How you know what they said and what they were looking and what they were they really thinking that they didn't actually say that. I'm now spending all my time trying to like analyze and like draw conclusions on my own, like all these things that we have no control over and really no truth about or insight on.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:I want you to imagine them putting all into a basket and then I want you to just hand it over. I want you to imagine these two big hands Now. These hands can represent anything in the world you want. They can represent God any other deity that you believe in. They can represent the want. They can represent God any other deity that you believe in. They can represent the universe. They can resent any higher power, your higher self, perhaps. Just imagine the hands in front of you and I want you to imagine just handing all this over. I put this into your loving hands. I know that you will handle it with grace and care and just let it go. And every time you stress or worry and this is really great, you know, if you're working through something right now where you are constantly in anxiety or fear or mental anguish over something, then just focus on that one thing.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:I did this when I was in mental anguish over my dwindling finances. I did this when I was in mental anguish over the state of the world. I did this when I was caught up in mental anguish over the falling apart of my 15-year relationship. Right, I did this again and again and every time. I'm not going to lie. Every time, whatever being you want to call it, whatever name you want to give it, I give it God. It saved me. This practice saved me. Okay, miracles happen.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:When I did this, I gave, I imagined, I remember. I can remember clearly giving over all of my finances, all my worry about my bills, my debt, how I was going to survive, how I was going to pay my rent at the end of the month. I can remember putting it all into God's hands and saying, please, this, I, this feels so out of my hands. Right now. I am putting it into your loving hands. I know you will handle it with grace and care.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Please take what I can't, what I have no control over right now, and just work your magic to the highest and greatest good for myself and for everyone else involved. I trust you, I have faith in you, I give you permission and then just watching it, let it go, and watching it like literally dissolve into like I used to always see it as gold dust, just gold dust everywhere, right, and then I'm getting goosebumps as I'm saying this with you guys right now, and then you know, I want you to ask yourself what can you control? Where can you take action? Where can you make a different choice? And I want you to write all those down. And then I want you to intuitively pick the top one to three things max that you feel really called to do and just leave the rest. Just leave it. You know I'm notorious for making super long to-do lists and this is something that I've really I've really like learned to master and actually I kind of did the wrong thing today and did the exact opposite of what I just told you guys to do. Where I started with, I started doing it the right way and then I totally blew it. So I have to go back, but I want you to look at, I want you to make a list of all the things that you have to do, want to do, feel inspired to do that, feel aligned for you, that you feel like you'd love to get to, only things that you like.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Let's not talk about the frog. Let's just talk about the actions that you feel are going to move you forward right now. Okay, from where you are, let's just focus on those. Otherwise, this is going to be a whole class. We're not doing a masterclass today. We're just going to give you one little tool focus on the things that you feel will move you forward. Right, whatever's in your power to do. I want you to write all that down. What is in your power to fix right now? What is in your power to move forward? What decisions can you make? What can you do differently? What actions can you take?
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:That maybe you've been putting off, and maybe it's not related to the thing. Maybe it's related to something else that you've been putting on the back burner because you've been too busy worrying about everything else, right, like, for example, when I was worried about my finances. One, right, like, for example, when I was worried about my finances. Um, one of the things that I kept putting on the back burner was my health, because I was too busy worried about and I kept saying, I'll just worry about that. I'm like, I know my health is deteriorating right now, but I'm just going to worry about that when I figure out my finances.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:And what ended up happening is I had to surrender my finances and I was like, what am I going to do? Now? You're going to do the thing that you've been wanting to do, that you've been putting off, which has been taking care of yourself and your body, and that was magical in creating the shift right. So I want you to look at all those things that you feel like you could do or should be doing, or wanted to be doing, but weren't doing because you were putting all your focus and energy on that, and then pick the one to two, one to three things that you think are going to make the biggest impact in your life, energetically speaking, and put you on a positive momentum forward. And this in itself is a life-changing fucking practice.
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Like I use this again and again whenever I'm dealing with this shit that you know I just I don't have any control over it. Okay, I get it. I don't have control over this. I surrender it. I trust, I have faith. I know that one way or another, this is going to work out for the highest and greatest good of all. I trust and have faith in that. What am I going to do?
MARIA @THEFEMMECAST:Instead of wasting all my time and every time I would start to mentally obsess, I would do this practice again and I would surrender it into the hands and go back to focusing on what do I have control over and what change do I want to make for myself in my life, and what would feel aligned and energetically supportive for me to be doing right now instead, so powerful.
